Each grade has a grade-point value, such as 4.0 for an A. Multiply it by the course's credit hours to get quality points, add up the quality points for all courses, and divide by the total credit hours. That weighted average is your semester GPA, so a 4-credit course counts more than a 2-credit one.
CGPA works the same way across semesters: each semester's GPA is weighted by its credit hours. Grade-point values differ slightly between universities, for example an A- may be 3.7 or 3.67, so check your university's handbook and pick the closest scale.

Use the target tool at the start of the semester, not the end.
Repeated courses and pass/fail courses are treated differently by each university.
Converting CGPA to a percentage depends on your university's official formula.
GPA is for one semester. CGPA is the cumulative average across all semesters, weighted by credit hours.
Choose the one matching your university's grade points. Many Pakistani universities use A- = 3.67 and B+ = 3.33.
There is no single formula. Use the conversion your university or the relevant authority publishes.
