About this tool
When do you need to give a receipt?
A receipt is proof that money has changed hands. Customers use it for their own records, expense claims, warranty or tax purposes, and it protects you if there is ever a dispute about whether a payment was made.
Unlike an invoice, which asks for payment, a receipt confirms payment has already been received. That is why this generator shows the payment method, the amount received in figures and words, and a PAID stamp, so nobody can mistake it for a bill.

Amount in words prevents altered figures, which is why it is standard on rent and fee receipts.
Record the payment method
Cash, cheque or bank transfer should always be clear, especially for cash payments.
Mention the period covered
For rent or fees, include the month in the description, such as "Rent – October 2026".

What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?

Can I make a rent receipt with this tool?
Yes. Put your tenant under Received from and describe the payment as rent for a particular month and property.
Can I change the currency?
Yes. Choose from 11 currencies. The amount in words uses the right currency name, for example rupees and paisa for PKR.
Is there a watermark?
No. The only stamp on the receipt is the PAID stamp, which is part of the design.
Is my information uploaded?
No. Your receipt is created entirely in your browser.
