End with "only"
Finishing with "only" stops anyone adding words after the amount.
Type any amount to see it written in words, ready for a cheque, invoice or contract. Switch between the international system (million, billion) and the South Asian system (lakh, crore), and get the amount neatly formatted.

Most of the world groups large numbers in thousands: one million is 1,000,000. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nepal commonly use the lakh and crore system instead, where one lakh is 1,00,000 and one crore is 1,00,00,000.
Cheques, invoices and legal documents usually need the amount written in words to prevent tampering. Writing large amounts correctly by hand is surprisingly easy to get wrong, especially with decimals. This tool writes the amount the way banks expect, including paisa, cents or fils, and ends it with "only".
Finishing with "only" stops anyone adding words after the amount.
If words and figures disagree, many banks go by the words, so check both.
Begin writing at the very start of the line so nothing can be added in front.
Use lakh and crore for rupee cheques in Pakistan and India, and million elsewhere.
One lakh fifty thousand. In the international system it is one hundred fifty thousand.
Ten lakh make one million, and one crore equals ten million.
For currencies, the decimal part is written as paisa, cents or fils, for example "and seventy-five paisa". For plain numbers, digits after the point are read one by one.
Numbers up to one quadrillion (1015) are supported.
