One task per session
Decide the task before you start the timer.
Get more done with short, focused work sessions and regular breaks. Start a 25-minute focus block, take a 5-minute break, and after four rounds enjoy a longer rest. Every session is logged for the day.
Private by design. The timer and your daily log are stored only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.
The Pomodoro Technique, created by Francesco Cirillo, breaks work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes, separated by short breaks. After four intervals you take a longer break. The fixed time limit makes it easier to start difficult tasks and to resist checking messages.
There is nothing magic about 25 minutes. Many people work better with 45 or 50-minute sessions for deep work. Adjust the settings to suit your attention span, and use the daily log to see how much focused time you actually achieved.
